Good evening. :)

I have to put in a good word or two here on the board and show some POSITIVE attitude here for all of the questions and problems etc. First a personal thank you for Evan’s helping with a lost license issue thanks to a whole series of unfortunate problems that caused the loss of the computer to which I had StormLab installed. Thanks to Evan’s VERY quick response StormLab was reactivated and installed on another system and I have insured that the old system’s hard drive will NEVER work again by physically destroying the hard drive after it had been electronically destroyed by what we now know was an electrical issue – manufacture defect.

This unit was a part of a business operation that I have that involves loss prevention services wherein critical data that can be legally stored is in order to allow for recovery of lost, stolen, or destroyed property or data to be recovered. Unfortunately – some of the data involving my personal property only for some reason still unknown was corrupted in a backup of licensing information and other important documents. So when the system where my personal data was stored was destroyed – my own data was lost but not anyone else’s.

Subsequent backup copies of my own data were found corrupted due to the use of the same system.

As a result – there was no other way to retrieve the licensing information but to contact StormLab support and ask for it.

In addition to this StormLab is a well protected program that must be activated properly using trade protected technologies allowing for one of the best programs out there to keep its low and affordable cost to you through protection from pirates that can cost any business millions and makes the safety and security of any software “questionable” when it is stolen and used for other purposes. Seeking permission to activate the program Evan assisted rapidly and efficiently in reactivation of StormLab in time for me to begin tracking the storms of March 8th, 9th, here in Southern Oklahoma. :D

Evan and his team have been working on a new product and constantly reminds those who doubt Storm Alert Inc’s ability to cater to the customer while still making a product simple, affordable and still allow the power of technology and wide diversity show for itself how powerful a program can be.

A great big THANK YOU to Evan Bookbinder for his quick assistance.

Meanwhile, for those wanting to know why so long – keep in mind that Evan is using his meteorological and computer programming skills to build a program that uses the best of both worlds. You won’t find anyone out there dedicated to life, and to his business as he has been.

Please be patient – in good time you will see what I have said.

Sincerely,
Brian R Cross

I too have found Evan to be very fast on support. He must live in front of a computer screen in order to answer so fast.

Please include my thanks to Evan for a great product and even greater support.

Thank you all. It is most graciously appreciated.

We've been battling a very nasty illness around the house which has set me back a couple weeks, but we're still working hard toward V4.0. Rather than rush it, I think I've reserved myself to realize that I think this storm season will provide myself and the testers with a good platform to shake out all the cobwebs and button down all the loose ends.

The first beta versions will surely not have all the planned features in them, but will be at a point where the software is operational in capacity. I do not have a date set of yet, and this is a very busy time of year for me aside from the software with public speaking engagements and the like. Please bare with Scott and I.

If anyone is going to the Des Moines conference in two weeks, I tentatively plan on attending and will be more than happy to bring the laptop and show folks what we've got going on.

Evan

It sounds like that you have a few storms of our own to go through.

I know what you mean – I’ve been there and done that.

Can’t attend the conference in Iowa – I have had some work here to do of my own and I’ve been working on a big leep for me of my own. First, college. Weather has been a long time hobby for me and though I have a good working knowledge of meteorology it seemed the State of Oklahoma had their minds set that I was to be either a councilor or a computer programmer.

I’m still going to operate the loss prevention services and I have enough training formally to provide minor computer assistance, but meteorology was and has been a part of my life.

I’ve been a taxpayer service representative for the Internal Revenue Service, I’ve been a volunteer working to prepare taxes, been earning some money on the side for the Loss Prevention services operation, etc. But I decided it was time not to let others put me down.

I’ll keep everyone p to date – I’ve not yet enrolled into classes, still waiting on Visual Services to get what they need and for Grants to come through as they request. But by Fall I plan to make that a priority.

Take your time both Scott and you Evan, and get well. So far I’ve not seen any reason to doubt your claims.

God Bless.
