I've been only slowly expanding the alpha/beta versions until Tyler AllisonHouse was able to get the StormLab congfuration area of his site ready. It's not totally complete, but far enough along where I feel comfortable expanding the beta.

Now before everyone goes off emailing me asking to be included in this group, there are some stringent requirements will be in place. Users must be existing registered members of the software and this forum for a period no less than 2 years. Users will come from a variety of Windows operating systems, have a deep working knowledge of all StormLab features currently in place, as well as a thorough knowledge of Doppler radar (to be able to report any issues related to radar data vs. program knobology). You must be willing to provide detailed bug reports, including the specific sequence of events required to reproduce a suspected problem.

A third tier of the software (to be named) will be added to handle AllisonHouse customers and some new features. Beta testers with the standard or professional version may have limited access to some of these features for testing...but they will disappear with the final release.

A forum for Scott, myself and the beta testers will be created shortly. I will have to manually create a separate usergroup for testers to prevent outside access.

As for the rules:
Before receiving an initial beta copy, users must agree to these and other rules set forth in an NDA document. http://www.interwarn.com/StormAlertInc_NDA.doc which must be signed, notarized and returned to

Storm Alert Inc.
C/O SL4 Beta Group
PO Box 2481
Lee's Summit, MO 64063

To sum up the legal-ese, users will not converse any details of StormLab (including functionality, design, screen shots, bugs, etc...) with anyone outside of the usergroup assigned to the special forum or myself. The software is watermarked to quickly disclose the source of any screenshots.
In essence, the NDA binds you to contain the software between you and us only (this includes demo'ing it to your blind aunt).

The REALLY good news: SL4 includes a brand new installation program. Even better, it includes an outstanding uninstall routine (which also functions correctly from the Add/Remove Programs portion of the Windows control panel). Uninstallion will successfully remove the software, your license and evet decrement your registration from the server. This should ultimately save me many hours of work in the long run (yay!).

I think that's all for now.

I still have a few slots open for those interested. Please PM me with the requirements above (other than the NDA).
